Skills & Abilities:
- Test Planning and Strategy: Develop test plans, strategies, and approaches for various projects or applications based on requirements and specifications.
- Test Case Design: Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and test scenarios to cover all aspects of software functionality.
- Test Execution and Reporting: Execute test cases manually or using automated tools, report defects/bugs, and track them to closure. Provide timely and accurate test status reports to stakeholders.
- Test Automation: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through their lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and validation of fixes.
- Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that new changes or enhancements have not adversely affected existing functionalities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and product managers to ensure a comprehensive understanding of requirements and effective communication of testing outcomes.
- Quality Assurance Processes: Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and best practices to enhance product quality and testing efficiency.
- Performance and Load Testing: Design, execute, and analyse performance and load tests to assess system behaviour under various conditions and identify performance bottlenecks.
- Documentation: Maintain test documentation such as test plans, test cases, test results, and other relevant artifacts.
- Adherence to Standards: Ensure adherence to industry standards, best practices, and compliance requirements related to software testing.
- Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance, training, and support to team members or junior testers, fostering a culture of learning and development within the testing team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree: Any Degree
- Testing Tools and Technologies: Proficiency in various testing tools like Selenium, JIRA, HP Quality Center, TestRail, etc.
- Test Automation: Knowledge in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Appium) and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) to create and execute automated tests.
- Testing Techniques: Understanding and application of various testing techniques (e.g., black-box testing, white-box testing, regression testing, performance testing).
- Database Knowledge: Basic understanding of databases and ability to write SQL queries for data validation.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages often used in testing like Java, Python, C#, etc.
- Version Control Systems: Familiarity with version control tools like Git to manage test scripts and code.
- Understanding of SDLC and STLC: Thorough understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) methodologies.
Graduation Year: Candidates who graduated between 2019 and 2023 are preferred.
